Camping Stumpys Bay Number 2 Mt William national park

Stumpys Bay campsites are located on Tasmania's beautiful far North East. The National Park boasts beautiful beaches, fishing opportunities diving, beach walks and swimming with care. It is common to see native wildlife at dawn and dusk including the Forester Kangaroo, Black Cockatoo and Wombats. To access the North of the Mt William National Park, travel on the C845 road. From the small town of Gladstone, travel along the C843 in an easterly direction for 8 kilometres, before turning onto the C845 where you will travel for another 40 kilometres to the Anson's Bay Road. You then head West for 19 kilometres on the C845. Stumpys Bay Camping Area number 2 can be accessed by travelling 8 kilometres along Forester Kangaroo Drive, which is signposted. Stumpys Bay camping area number 1 is app. 400 metres past Stumpys Bay Number 2; this area is suitable only for tent based camping. Smaller than campsite no. 1, Stumpys Bay Campsite number 2 is best suited for tent camping and swimming is safer. Tent sites are located amongst trees in an open area offering good shade where you can simply relax and read a book. This camping area is suitable for gas and fuel stove-only - fires are strictly prohibited.

The Southern end of the Mt William National Park is where you will find the Eddystone Point Lighthouse, a must see attraction on this potentially rugged part of the North East tip of Tassie. The Mt William National Park Bay camping area offers a number of open sites, and also some with shelter. There is a boat ramp in the area, campgrounds are not suitable for motorhomes,campervans and caravans - tent camping only. Existing fire sites must be used. Bring own water & firewood
