Deep Creek Camping Area is signposted, and located just under 10 kilometres along the Eddystone Point Road (C846) This road is found off the C843, app. 3.5 kilometres west of Ansons Bay. You will then need to travel a further 3+ kilometres north to the Deep Creek Campsite. It is common to see native wildlife at dawn and dusk including the awesome Forester Kangaroo. To access the North of the Mt William National Park, travel on the C845 road. From the small town of Gladstone, travel on the C843 in an easterly direction for 8 kilometres, before turning onto the C845 where you will travel for another 40 kilometres to the Anson's Bay Road. Deep Creek Camping Area. The Southern end of the Mt William National Park is where you will find the Eddystone Point Lighthouse, a must-see attraction in this rugged, but immensely beautiful part of the North East tip of Tassie. The Mt William National Park Bay camping area offers a number of open sites, - some with shelter. There is a boat ramp in the area, campgrounds are suitable for motorhomes, campervans and caravans. Existing fire sites must be used. Bring your own water and firewood. See also: Camping Petal Point. Camping is only permitted at the 6 designated campgrounds; the Deep Creek campground near Eddystone Pt Lighthouse is the only one located in the southern end of the park whilst the northern end of the park has 5 campgrounds. These are Top Camp and Stumpys Number I, 2, 3 and 4 campsites. Small to medium-sized caravans and motorhomes can be accommodated in all campgrounds except Stumpys number 2.
